Quarry Yard Hand (Part-Time)

DIG Personnel & Training Solutions are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Quarry Yard Hand to support operations at a busy quarry in Truro. This is a part-time role suited to someone who enjoys a varied position and working as part of a small team.

The successful applicant will assist with general yard operations including equipment operation, workshop support and stores duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Bobcat and Forklift
• Fueling trucks and mobile plant
• Assisting fitters and maintenance team as required
• Stores and parts handling
• General yard duties and housekeeping
• Supporting the operations team with day-to-day quarry activities
• Ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Bobcat operating experience
• Hold a Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
• Be reliable, practical and safety focused
• Be comfortable working outdoors in a quarry environment
• Have the ability to work independently and within a team
• Have a current driver’s licence
• Ability to pass medical and DNA test
